It once was the pride of the Chinese space program. Now it is junk and coming back.
Track it live here:
I hope this time they wont try their missiles on it, last time they did it we got wave of space trash crapping satellites in low orbit.
So it enter atmosphere sooner than predicted? Like within the next week or so?
It had been predicted to reenter last year. I haven't found any new predictions of it's return, but you can track it's altitude and track on that web site along with other orbiting objects.
I will have my baseball glove ready to catch some pieces. Would be cool to see it
Prediciting 125 hours until reentry.
That's only 83 more orbits. Put your helmets on. Lol
I'm getting excited! How fun!
I always get giddy when these things reenter. Especially uncontrolled......
Wife and I saw it this morning around 5:25 it was right over us.
It's coming down less than 24hrs.
I think less than 12hrs!
Maybe less than 6hrs! Watch the altitude drop faster and faster....
Was 130 miles....now less than 125 just a few minutes later!
Here it comes!!
I GOT IT!!! I GOT IT!!!!......
The link in the first post of the thread has tracking for space junk reentries. Something coming back in 40 minutes and something in about 6 hours.
from 130 miles to 122 miles in less than 10 min....! (TianGong 1 satellite I am watching)
Too bad the sun just came up for me. Boooo.
It is flying right for me in next 20min or so. From Mexico to just over my head.
Tiangong 1 right now.....I am Red Dot.
Kirk Walsh also right on path of it.
118 miles and falling fast
Stupid thing just gained altitude and went UP a few miles? Don't understand how that is possible?
The Sun or Moon pulls it back up?
