    And.....now what?

They need a scanner to sell and some CAD software.

    Impossible to survive without.

I also knew that buying diadem would be a waste of time.
Mega waste of $10 million or more.
Nobody sent them thousands of eMax to machine.
That place was a black hole that sucked money every second it existed.

    Core3d bought that?
WOW, because I did not know they even filled their current manufacturing centers!
Must have been for a cheap price?
I think they had 10 Roeders mills at about $900k each? And a pile more of ?? others?

    Nov 2012....

..."Ivoclar Vivadent Acquires Diadem Precision Technology

Ivoclar Vivadent today announced the acquisition of Diadem Precision Technology. The transaction is expected to be completed by December 31, 2012.

Located in Troy, Mich., and Windsor, Ontario, Diadem Precision Technology is a state-of-the-art, high efficiency, high quality, digital-based production facility focusing on all-ceramic CAD/CAM solutions serving the dental laboratory industry. With facilities in the US and Canada, the company currently employs 25 people.

Diadem Precision Technology started business in 2008 as a digital-based milling center. Since its inception, the company has consistently grown under the leadership of Mr. Mike Girard who will pursue a new opportunity within the laboratory industry."

I meet Mike Gerard in 2007 on a river boat. We drink and eat together. Smart guy!
He was thinking at that time of eMax bonded or baked-to-Zr! Top and bottom.
Spent money and time to build Diadem, then sold to Ivoclar.
He was certain that was going to be the next thing.
3M tried their own approach with stupid D.V.S. veneering system.
I tried that Once. As we all know, both failed.

I am pretty sure Mike G. was responsible for the procerra product. ?
Something like that. He was correct that product worked for a while and made money.

You mean new software that nobody knows about?
    Not exocad??

The easy solution is to just work with exocad.
    Why try to compete?
Those German kids really made a decent software and the company has great thoughts and overall mission.
Whoops-ass on 3Shape in my opinion.
    Really clean software!

    This is 3Shape recently!

They would not be so stupid to work with Dental Wings? right?

Have you ever tried Dental Wings John?

It is really bad. I would not use it for free.

Makes me want to scream and punch my PC.

Ivoclar helped develop the E4D mill they also owned a portion of the company when they first started.
Not sure if that is still the case as things have changed in Dallas over the years.

Ivoclar going to exocad? :) Or not? :(

Both are based in Germany. (Well Liechtenstein is basically Germany to me?)

Maybe they agree to work together having a few beers?
