    Dear friends,

I'm totally newbie. Just bought Exocad 2016 to integrate with Trios. I'll receive initial training in couple weeks.... My plan is to design some of my work to send to a milling facility.

Till "official" training, I'm trying to design simple crowns to test the software. But the material library on DentalDB is quite limited. I added one material (e.max CAD) using WorkParamConfigTool setting parameters based on Ivoclar chart for Exocad. But I was wondering if there are files from materials manufacturers to be added to Exocad's specific folder (just like implant libraries).

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks a lot!!!

We have One for 3M Lava, and we made our own?

Do you want that? Just to see?

Know where I can find parameters for Amann Zolid materials?

Here are some Workparams files you can play with. There are others that I can't find at the moment (straumann, argen, etc).

    Oh, man, thanks a lot!

Sorry, but I 'm newbie as said.... I paste these files in some specific folder from Exocad or I have to set up the parameters manually?

    Thanks again

(exocad program folder) > DentalDB > Config

    Place there!

    Rename as you prefer?

To do this when open DentalDB and setup new case.

Bottom left of screen to choose what material parameters you want to use.

You will place the files in the config folder located in the dental DB folder. Just as an example, here is the file path on my PC

I don't know where your reseller has installed your version of the software, but once you locate the exocad folder, the file path will be identical to the one seen above. I know a lot of resellers will place the exocad folder in the program files. If you don't know, PM me your teamviewer numbers, I can help you locate and place the files.

I suggest tool compensation of 0.82mm

Min thickness of 0.4mm for single, and use your brain according to situation for other.

0.45 for everything else like bridge, unless your milling center complain?

The extra material at margin also depend on quality of CNC mill and the tooling and f course the material properties. (Wax/Zr/Metal?)

This is to prevent chipping during milling, but then you have extra material to cut after sintering which many people cheat this parameter and make edge of margin like a knife.

Push the limits until something bad happens? lol

Total of 0.080 cement spacer to start.

If prep is tall and parallel wall, then add 0.020 spacer?

If prep is shit and walls converge fast, or short axial wall...then reduce cement spacer to 0.060 or something like that?

Thanks guys! Very helpful, you´re great! I´ll now try to find a XML from Ivoclar.

Is it possible to show all materials (all XML libraries) as default?
