I have measured a few different implant company scan bodies and found them all to have at least a little deviation. (with cheap Chinese micrometer)
When I get some time I'm going to scan and see how they compare to micrometer.

Mr. Cadfan, all your scan bodies measure the same or really close?

@Mr. 2thm8kr not all of them are so easy to measure but most are from two sources and they are in that range buy callibrated mytoyo mikrometer screw you find nothing better 2 micron repeatability.

Doesn't thermal expansion come in play when we talking 3/1000 mm?
    I don't think it is a problem? Or I'm I wrong?

I think you should be more worried about the linear expansion in gypsum, that is if you have more then one implant. There you have an expansion of more than 0.05%.

I am not worried about anything because i know my numbers and each counts !!! on 3 micron we talk first about repeatability of the microscrew which is two :coffee
