Is there a way to make attachment tab available during freeform merged on waxup type restoration? It is available if I choose copying but not on waxup. Any ideas?

After merging use expert mode to free form restoration and add attachment there.

This is exactly what I was trying to do. On waxup type restoration there is no attachment tab on freeform merged in expert mode.

If you don't have the option for attachment on waxup pontic after merging try expert mode and select create wax up scan and see if you can add attachment in free form after creating the wax up mesh.

I can but i need that after merging because it allows modifying file below minimum thickness.

I guess I don't completely understand what you need.

Ok I will do my best to explain. I use it to create a hole in stl file using remove attachment function. Only after merging exocad allows modifying file below minimum thickness. I need that on wax-up type of restoration.

One way to work around it. After you design your wax up type of restoration. Start the job again as wax up or reduced wax up which ever you need. Pick one tooth number and mark one small area on the model scan for the margins. Let exocad calculate the new wax up and then you will be able to cut holes in that restoration and have a construction file if needed. Extra step, but that is what I do on some cases for implants.

I will try that. Thanks. I t is a shame attachment tab is missing there, it would be so much easier...

You could send your thoughts to feedback@exocad.com
They are pretty good at implementing things end users want.
