    Hi,

I know most of you use Exocad's splint module to make custom trays so my apologies if I'm posting in the wrong forum. I was hoping someone on here had experience using Zirkonzahn's free custom tray module and could help me sort out why it's not working 3/4 of the time. I very often get one of two problems:

1.The tray is created outside of the margin.

    2. I get a big hole in the middle of the mesh after clicking on Apply at the Blockout step.

For the times that it does work, I'm not doing anything different.

Thank you tray outside.png hole in model.png

IMO it is a little unstable.

Can you give us a better description of what the first mesh is?
    Holes in the mesh?
Screen shot of the marked borders?

I should add: missing tray handles when merging.
It doesn't work 50% of the time but it is free :)

Well, for the first example, I did it again and was able to get it done. Here is the second model with the margin drawn tray outside 2.png tray outside 2.png . By running it through Exocad model creator to raise the height, I was able to get passed the blockout phase without getting the hole in the center. The tray however gets created on the opposite side of the margin. I tried changing the insertion direction, thinking that might be it but it's not.

Well, sometimes you just have to go against logic apparently. By selecting lower instead of upper (even though it is an upper), it worked.

Did you check to see if the scans you are trying to use are inverted?
